This policy explains what personal information we collect through jaydetail.com (the "Site") and our booking process, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. Contact: judebenoliver69@gmail.com · (720) 339-0284 · 4604 Yackley Ave, Lisle, IL 60532.

1. Information we collect

You give us

Contact details: name, email address, phone number (and whether you agree to text messages).
Vehicle details: make, model, year, color, size, license plate (optional), and notes about its condition.
Service location: the address where we will work, for mobile service.
Booking details: the Service, date and time, notes, and your communications with us.

Payment information. Card and payment details are entered on Stripe's secure page and processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment, the amount, the last four digits and card brand, and a payment reference, but not your full card number.

Collected automatically. Standard technical data your browser sends (IP address, device and browser type, pages requested) in our hosting and server logs, used for security, abuse prevention (including rate limiting) and keeping the Site running.

Cookies. We use only cookies needed for the Site to work, such as keeping you signed in to your account or portal. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We do not collect biometric identifiers, Social Security numbers, or driver's license numbers.

2. How we use it

To schedule, perform and follow up on your Services.
To take payments, issue invoices and handle refunds.
To send booking confirmations, reminders, changes and sign-in links by email, and by text if you opt in.
To keep records of our work and for accounting, tax and legal requirements.
To protect the Site and prevent fraud and misuse.
To respond to your questions and resolve problems.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for their marketing.

3. Text messages

If you opt in, we use your mobile number only to send appointment texts (confirmations, reminders, reschedules, cancellations, refund notices). Message frequency varies with your bookings; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting in is not required to book. Mobile information and text consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:

Stripe: payment processing.
SendGrid and Twilio (Twilio Inc.): sending email and text messages.
MongoDB Atlas: database hosting.
Netlify: website hosting.

These providers may process data in the United States and are required to protect it and use it only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena or court order, to enforce our terms, to protect rights, safety or property, or in a sale or transfer of the business (in which case the buyer must honor this policy).

5. How long we keep it

We keep booking, invoice and payment records as long as needed to provide the Services, for warranty and dispute purposes, and to meet tax and accounting obligations, generally up to 7 years. We then delete or anonymize them. Sign-in links expire shortly after they are issued, and server logs are kept for a limited period.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls limited to staff who need access, hashed single-use sign-in links, and a payment processor that handles card data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530) and other applicable law.

7. Your choices and rights

Access and correction: ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you or to correct it.
Deletion: ask us to delete your information. We may keep what we must retain for legal, tax or dispute reasons.
Texts: reply STOP, or turn texts off in your account.
Email: transactional emails about your bookings are part of the Service. You can ask us to stop non-essential messages.
Photos: you may withdraw permission to show your vehicle in public photos for future use.

Contact us at judebenoliver69@gmail.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time (generally within 30 days). Illinois does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute, and we apply these rights to all customers.

8. Children

The Site is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Links to other sites

The Site may link to other sites (for example, Stripe's payment page or our social media). We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please read their policies.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to tell you, for example by email.
